Shipping Information
Welcome to The Petal Patch. We are a small boutique flower farm located in Main Ridge on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. All orders are packed with care and shipped from our farm.
Order Processing
Orders are generally processed within 2–5 business days of payment being received. During peak periods, including dahlia tuber release dates and seasonal seed launches, processing times may be slightly longer. We appreciate your patience as a small-scale grower.
Dahlia Tubers
Dahlia tubers are shipped around September/October when visible eyes are present to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. Tubers are carefully inspected before dispatch and are packed to minimise damage during transit. Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us within 48 hours if there are any issues.
Seeds
Seed orders are typically dispatched within 3 business days. As seeds are lightweight, they may be sent via standard Australia Post services unless otherwise requested.
Plants and Live Material
Live plants are shipped only when weather conditions are suitable and when plants are established enough to travel safely. The Petal Patch reserves the right to delay shipping of live plants if extreme weather conditions may affect plant health during transit.
Shipping Within Australia
We currently ship within Victoria only due to current restrictions. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order.
Local Collection
Local collection may be available from Main Ridge by prior arrangement. Customers selecting local collection will be contacted with collection details once their order is ready.
Delivery Delays and Incorrect Addresses
While we aim to dispatch orders promptly, delivery times are the responsibility of the postal carrier. The Petal Patch is not responsible for delays caused by Australia Post, extreme weather events, industrial action, or circumstances beyond our control. Customers are responsible for ensuring all shipping information is accurate at the time of ordering. Orders returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address may incur additional shipping charges before being resent.
Lost or Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs of the parcel and contents.
While we will assist wherever possible, The Petal Patch cannot guarantee replacement or refund for delays, loss, or damage occurring after parcels have been handed to the shipping carrier.

Dahlia Tubers, Seeds and Plants
Gardening outcomes can vary significantly depending on climate, soil conditions, growing methods, pests, disease pressure, and other factors beyond our control. While we take great care to provide healthy, quality products, The Petal Patch cannot guarantee germination rates, growth performance, flowering results, or plant survival. Customers accept responsibility for the care and cultivation of all products purchased.
Product Descriptions
We strive to ensure product descriptions, photographs, and information are accurate. As flowers are natural products, colour, shape, size, and performance may vary from season to season. Images are provided as a guide only.
Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of seeds, tubers, plants, and fresh flowers, we do not accept returns for change of mind. If you receive an incorrect item or a product that arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and your order number. Any refund, replacement, or store credit will be assessed at our discretion.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, The Petal Patch will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our products or website. Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for change of mind purchases. Please carefully review product descriptions before placing your order.
Dahlia Tubers
All dahlia tubers are inspected before dispatch to ensure they are healthy and viable. As gardening success depends on many factors beyond our control, including weather, soil conditions, watering practices, pests, diseases, and growing techniques, we cannot guarantee growth, flowering performance, or plant survival. Refunds or replacements will not be provided for cultivation issues occurring after delivery.
Seeds
Due to variations in growing conditions and cultivation methods, we cannot guarantee germination rates. Refunds will not be provided for seeds that fail to germinate.
Plants
Plants are living products and may vary in size, appearance, and growth stage at the time of dispatch.
Once plants have been delivered, their ongoing health and performance become the responsibility of the purchaser.
